Camp Structure and Format

The Baseball Hitting Camp will be broken into four days, with each day consisting of two sessions: one in the morning and one in the afternoon. The goal of the camp is to provide players with the knowledge and skills necessary to make the jump to collegiate baseball and beyond. Each day is designed to target specific aspects of hitting, from mechanics and consistency to mental approach and situational hitting.

The camp format allows for a combination of instructional teaching, hands-on drills, video analysis, and personalized feedback. Each session is designed to build on the previous one, ensuring that campers have the tools and understanding to improve and refine their hitting mechanics, strategy, and mental approach.

Camp Features and Benefits

  • Video Breakdown:
One of the most powerful tools of the camp is the video analysis. Throughout the four days, players will submit their swings for review. Dan Black will break down each swing in detail, identifying areas of improvement and providing actionable feedback. The video breakdown allows athletes to see their mechanics in real-time and make adjustments based on expert advice.

  • 1:1 Analysis:
Throughout the camp, athletes will receive personalized, one-on-one feedback from Dan Black. This individual attention is crucial for identifying specific areas where each player needs improvement. With Dan’s expert eye, players will learn how to refine their swings and develop their hitting approach to match their strengths.

  • Mental Approach and Confidence Building:
Hitting is as much about mental preparation as it is about physical mechanics. Day 3 of the camp focuses on the mental side of hitting, teaching players how to stay calm under pressure, recognize pitches, and develop confidence at the plate. This is crucial for transitioning to the collegiate level, where the competition is fierce and every at-bat matters.

  • Collegiate-Level Preparation:
This camp is designed to prepare athletes for the next step in their baseball journey. With insights from a former collegiate and professional player, campers will gain a clear understanding of the differences between high school and collegiate baseball. From strength and conditioning to game strategy and mental fortitude, Dan will equip campers with the tools they need to succeed at the college level.

  • Post-Camp Resources:
After the camp, players will have access to a private portal where they can review video recordings of the sessions, access additional training materials, and continue to submit videos for feedback from Dan Black. This ensures that the learning doesn’t stop after the four days, and athletes can continue developing their skills.

Online Format and Accessibility

This Baseball Hitting Camp will be held entirely online, making it accessible to athletes from all over the country. By conducting the camp virtually, we are able to break down geographical barriers, allowing every committed player to receive world-class coaching without the need to travel.

The camp will be hosted via a live webinar format, with each session recorded and available for review at any time. This ensures that athletes can revisit drills, re-watch video breakdowns, and reinforce the lessons they learned, even if they are unable to attend a live session.
